 |
DALLAS, August 7, 2007 - Platinum Research
Organization (PLRO.OB – www.platinumresearch.com), The Acta
Group, LLC and its European affiliate, The Acta Group EU
Ltd., announced that Acta has been named to manage Platinum’s
worldwide product approval efforts for TechroBond™.
TechroBond is Platinum’s revolutionary, environmentally
sensitive additive that enhances the performance of lubricants
and coatings. Platinum Research Organization (PRO) develops
patented high-performance lubricants and coatings.
The Acta Group, LLC, a Washington, D.C., consultancy specializing
in the regulatory approval of chemical products, and its
European affiliate, The Acta Group EU, Ltd., are subsidiaries
of Bergeson & Campbell, P.C., a Washington, D.C. law
firm that specializes in industrial, specialty and agricultural
chemical and medical device product approval and regulation.
Bergeson & Campbell recently assisted PRO with obtaining
the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) favorable
review of F-ZDDP, a key chemical in TechroBond.
Acta had already begun efforts to register TechroBond with
the United Kingdom’s Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
PRO and The Acta Group are also assessing how to approach
TechroBond’s registration under the European Union’s (EU)
Registration, Evaluation, and Authorization of Chemicals
(REACH) legislation.
“Working with the PRO team to bring TechroBond to world
markets is a very exciting opportunity for us,” said Steve
Green, business and regulatory manager of The Acta Group
EU. “The professionals at PRO are in the midst of a formidable
undertaking and they are well on their way to making it
a success. Obtaining product approval in key global markets
requires a commitment to a product, and the PRO team is
strongly committed to TechroBond and to its commercial
and environmental benefits.”
“With The Acta Group heading up our efforts, our worldwide
chemical product approval team is in very qualified hands
indeed,” said John T. (Cork) Jaeger Jr., president and
CEO of Platinum Research Organization Inc. (PRO). “In fact,
the qualifications of The Acta Group’s professionals are
second to none in the specialty chemical and oil industry.
The track record of success that The Acta Group has achieved
for other companies is impressive. Having The Acta Group
on the PRO team will undoubtedly help us achieve our goals
in short order.”
The Acta Group manages products from concept to approval,
utilizing the skills and experience of professionals who
have worked in the specific product areas in government
and industry. In addition to the considerable regulatory
experience of the firm’s staff lawyers, the professionals
associated with the firm have extensive scientific and
governmental experience, including a former assistant administrator
for the EPA, a doctor of organic chemistry with more than
25 years of experience in regulatory matters in the industrial
chemical community and a former U.K. HSE toxicologist,
among other skilled professionals.
Platinum Research Organization
Inc. (PRO) designs, develops and commercializes patented,
high performance additives for lubricants and coatings.
The company's proprietary additive, TechroBondÔ, offers
substantial economic, performance and environmental advantages
over those now used. In engine oils, TechroBond will extend
the life of catalytic converters, thereby reducing harmful
emissions; it increases the anti-wear performance of industrial
greases while reducing their cost; and in coatings and
paints, TechroBond may replace environmentally hazardous
materials. PRO's formulations and processes are protected
by a series of U.S. patents, patent applications, continuation-in-part
applications and trade secrets. The company is located
in Dallas.
Trademarks: TechroBond is a trademark of Platinum
